Dr. Johnson then attended Louisiana Tech University from 2007-2010 where she earned her bachelors degree in animal science with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. Dr. Amber Hartwell

Associate Veterinarian

I began working at JAC in Sept of 2020. I have worked in the field of vet medicine since 2011. I decided to work in this field because of the love I have for animals. I am married to Randy Hartwell Jr and we have 5 children. My professional goals are to practice high quality medicine, implement preventative therapies/treatments to help my patients have the best quality of life and to form lasting relationships with my clients. I have a number of furry babies and in my spare time I like to collect cats! I am also very active in church and I love the outdoors. A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast. Proverbs 12:10

Dr. Paige Medaries

Dr. Medaries knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the time she could speak. She was raised in Monroe, LA and attended Ouachita Parish High School, where she graduated as valedictorian in 2016. From there, she attended Louisiana Tech University with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. She became more interested in large animal medicine while at Tech and even spent her time working for Tech Farm’s Sheep, Goat, and Swine Unit. She started at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and married her husband, Christian, during her third year. They are proud parents to a handsome cat named Simon and a floppy-eared Boykin Spaniel named Artemis. Dr. Medaries graduated from LSU in 2023 with a special interest in large animal medicine.

Megan Richmond

Receptionist

I started working for Jonesboro Animal Clinic March 2017. I have been in the veterinary field for 6 years and I grew up in a vet clinic. I worked in retail before but my love for animals is the reason I chose this field. I have 2 children Gaven and Kieron, 2 dogs Steel and Lyric and 2 cats MooMoo and BittyBitty; they are 100% good boys and girls. Outside of the clinic I enjoy drawing, painting and hanging out with family. Everyone knows I’m loud and outgoing. I love all my clients and patients, they are part of our family too.

I have been in the field of veterinary medicine for almost 3 years.  I have financial experience in corporate office, forestry, grocery and school cafeteria management.  I retired from Bienville parish school board and my love for animals is the reason I chose to spend my retirement days at Jonesboro Animal Clinic. I have an English bulldog named Oakley & he follows me wherever I go. I have five other dogs as well.  Things I enjoy outside of Jonesboro Animal Clinic is hanging out with Oakley, reading, quilting and shopping for antiques.

veteran. Krissy is married to Eric Williams and they have 5 "Human"
children, 1 "Fur" Child (Cop) who is always at the clinic with Krissy, and

Mitchell Miles

Veterinary Technician

I began working for Jonesboro Animal Clinic November 2017. I have been in the veterinary field for 4 years. I am the pastor at Vernon Baptist Church in the Vernon community in Jackson parish.  I love taking care of animals and helping the family business grow. My family and I love animals, we have so many “pets” at my house that is it takes 30 minutes every morning and evening to feed them all. I enjoy shooting archery and going to livestock shows. My main goal is to preach the gospel and follow God’s will in my life.

1 Peter 5:7 says cast all your cares upon Him(Jesus) for He cares for you(men). Jesus does care about everyone. He proved it! He died on the cross at calvary for mine and your sins. Then 3 days later He rose from the dead. He loves us that much. So take your problems to Him- He really does love you-just for who you are!

Melinda Miles

Practice Manager

I started working for Jonesboro Animal Clinic July 2020. I retired after 20 years from Dodson High School as an Ag Teacher/Coach.  I decided to spend my retirement days at the family business. My goal is to be the best practice manager in Louisiana and build relationships with our customers.  When I’m not being the best practice manager I enjoy spending time with Jenny, my donkey, she is old and stubborn like me.  I also enjoy spending time with my kids, grandkids and going to livestock shows. God has blessed me above and beyond anything I could ever imagine. I love being with my family and friends. I love to help others. I miss my kids at school but I still have the privilege to take some to livestock shows.

Philippians 4:13 is my motto: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
